This project has been conceived as a park to accompany the transition into old age, developing gradually over time. The first stage, currently underway, consists of planting trees, with plans to later introduce shrub layers, flowers, and groundcovers.
The landscape design is based on the natural conditions of the site, taking advantage of existing slopes to define the different zones of the project. The proposal includes pathways, mown grass areas, wood chips, and groundcovers. Additionally, a pond was proposed in the lowest part of the site, inviting contemplation of the expansive landscape towards the river that borders it.
Existing trees were also integrated into the design. Oaks, cypresses, and beeches—species present on the site before the project—have been used as reference points and incorporated across various areas.
The vegetation has been organised by sectors, considering the site conditions. A combination of well-adapted native and exotic species was selected. In the wet zone, a forest of canelos is planned; one of the hills is dedicated to quillayes and maitenes; and towards the northeast, an olive grove is proposed. In the access areas, deciduous species such as ginkgos and tulip trees will be planted to mark the passage of the seasons. Finally, a productive area with fruit trees intended for family consumption is defined.
